Developers have just formally submitted a detailed planning application to Peterborough City Council for the £55 million transformation of the former Mars Petcare site, in Shrewsbury Avenue, in Woodston.

Trebor Developments and Hillwood are seeking the go ahead for a two-unit industrial development providing units of 231,000 sq ft and 307,500 sq ft, on the site.

The units could be used for distribution or manufacturing uses and are expected to create more than 100 jobs.

Greg Dalton, Development Manager for Trebor, said: “We are delighted to bring forward two major industrial units on a speculative basis in the Peterborough area, which has been popular with a wide range of occupiers.

“The submission of detailed planning is the next milestone in delivering this exciting scheme and we anticipate having these units available for occupation in 2022.

Called Delta Park, the site is being jointly marketed by Avison Young and Gerald Eve for Trebor and Hillwood.
