Morrisons customers in Peterborough will from today benefit from a new shopping partnership with Amazon
Food retailer Morrisons has teamed up with Amazon to ensure customers can do their full food shop through the internet giant’s website Amazon.co.uk
Customers can now shop from the ‘Morrisons on Amazon’ store with thousands of grocery products to choose from that includes meat, seafood, dairy and baked goods, as well as fruit and vegetables.

Orders are hand-picked from local stores by dedicated Morrisons staff and delivered to customers by Amazon Flex Delivery Partners.
It means that Peterborough is now part of a growing nationwide service operated by the two companies with Ipswich and Reading joining the initiative, which was launched last month.
Doug Gurr, Amazon UK Country Manager, said: “After months of planning, we are delighted to bring Morrisons on Amazon to the people of Peterborough.

David Potts, chief executive of Morrisons, said: “Morrisons on Amazon will build on our partnership with Amazon, making our good quality, great value food even more accessible through Amazon.co.uk and the Amazon app.
“It will give more customers across Peterborough the option of receiving Morrisons groceries straight to their doorstep, including freshly prepared products from our brilliant Market Street colleagues.”
An Amazon spokesman said: “Prime members will benefit from Amazon’s fastest grocery delivery offer, usually as fast as same-day for orders placed before 3pm.

The range includes handmade products from Morrisons’ butchers and fishmongers, and a selection of fruit and vegetables by quantity, providing even more choice.
The arrival of Morrisons new online venture to Peterborough comes nine years after the supermarket chain brought Peterborough-founded baby wear supplier Kiddicare for £70 million - principally to benefit from Kiddicare’s quality online service and expertise.
But the initiative was not successful and just three years later Morrisons sold Kiddicare for just £2million.
