The Emergency Response Service is what the charity provides to help people in the UK ‘cope in the aftermath of an incident or emergency’ e.g. house flood or fire. Working in association with the Fire and Rescue Service, trained volunteers provide emotional and practical support such as refreshments, clothing, toiletries, shelter in the vehicle, basic clothing/blankets and assistance in dealing with banks, insurance companies and housing.

Deepings Lions President, Steve Holt said: “Our Club decided to make a contribution to help the charity and the amazing work done by their volunteers. I had the pleasure of meeting two of them recently, Ben Nandrame and Warren Mason and to present them with a donation of £500”.

The Deepings area benefits from this services from its base in Thurmaston, Leicester.
