Letter: Help brighten up garden

I would like to convey my heartfelt thanks to our neighbours, local community and business for supporting us at Park House during this challenging time.

Our staff are doing a wonderful job, going above and beyond to do everything they can to keep residents comfortable, happy and reassured, despite them missing their usual visits from family, friends and outside entertainers.

We have been over-whelmed and delighted with the amazing support we have received from local families, but also from businesses that have been in touch with the home.

We have also received many hand written letters, paintings from children, and had phone calls from wellwishers, all offering their support.

We have one request, which is to ask if anyone has any spare flower seeds or bedding plants that they do not need, or have any spare bird feeders? Our home would be happy to accept any donations, no matter how small, so we can work on brightening our gardens for the spring and into the summer, and encourage more feathered-friends into our gardens, for residents to enjoy. Thank you.

We are all extremely grateful for everyone’s kindness. It’s at times like these that the community spirit of which our country is so proud really shines through, and what I believe will help us get through this difficult time.

I want to therefore extend my personal gratitude, on behalf of the entire team: thank you.
