Jake is no stranger to television having previously taken part in BBC One’s gruelling fitness show Ninja Warrior and Channel 4’s dating show First Dates. He said: “It sounds like an amazing opportunity and I’m really hopeful I’ll make the final 10. The top prize is a potentially life-changing sum of money and of course I’d love to make myself more financially secure but I’d like to give a lot of it away.

“I’m lucky in that I have a roof over my head, a gorgeous girlfriend and a beautiful daughter. Fast cars and big houses are not for me. I know what it’s like to struggle and have nothing.

“There’s no greater feeling than helping people and that’s what I’m determined to do. I’d love to do something along the lines of the The Secret Millionaire TV show and find causes to support financially.”

Jake, who has a 14-year-old daughter, grew up in Stamford and used to live in Wittering. He recently moved to Tamworth to be with girlfriend Stacey Hayward, who runs a hair salon there.
