The new development comes after the national garden centre retailer entered a wholesale partnership with Sainsbury’s to bring in a range of high-quality food and grocery products.

Graeme Jenkins, chief executive of Dobbies, said: “It is fantastic to see our new look foodhall open in Peterborough, with a diverse range of Sainsbury’s products now available for customers.

“This new food and grocery offer complements our garden centre ranges, providing convenience and a wide product selection for our customers.

“A big thank you to everyone who has worked hard to bring this partnership to fruition.

Dobbies is offering five customers the chance to win their foodhall shopping for free at the Peterborough store.

Winners will be selected by the team members at the till point throughout the week.

The store is open 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday, with social distancing measures in place.
