Director of Hereward Community Radio, Matthew Kisby was delighted with the grant.

He, said “The money will be spent in upgrading and maintaining our studio capabilities, to keep our station at the forefront of the ever-changing technological world we live in, where, in the post coronavirus world, staying in touch with friends and family is more important than ever.

“This grant will also enable us to help train the next generation of young people in audio and video production at our studio in the heart of Peterborough, continuing our 7-year Youth Radio project, and will be used to encourage young people into the broadcasting industry while also helping those from a disadvantaged background, the long term unemployed and those who are differently abled.

“We will also be able to help other organizations record and publicise all the great community initiatives out there.

“Many thanks to the Youth Inspired team for helping us to help others.”
