Final farewell to popular Peterborough photographer

Family, friends and former colleagues of a former Peterborough Evening Telegraph chief photographer Jack Brindley said final farewells at his funeral.

Jack died last month at Peterborough City Hospital after a long battle with illness.

His funeral was held at Peterborough Crematorium on Friday, with figures from across Peterborough paying their respects. Including in the congregationwas Peterborough United legend Tommy Robson, four past and present editors of the Peterborough Telegraph, and other colleagues from his time at the paper.

He was chief photographer for 20 years after joining in 1970, and during his time at the paper he was the Peterborough United photographer, while he also had his own gardening column. He also helped fund raise for charities in his retirement.
