Coronavirus: Five more patients at hospitals run by Peterborough health trust die

A further five patients with coronavirus at hospitals run by the North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust have died.

The latest figures from NHS England show that 88 patients have passed away at Peterborough City Hospital or Hinchingbrooke Hospital.

Two people died on Thursday, but previous figures for the number of patients who died on Wednesday and Tuesday have been revised up.

In total, 15 patients have died at either hospital in the past three days.

Across the UK, 684 Covid-19 patients have died in hospital over the past 24 hours.

In Peterborough, 185 patients have tested positive for the virus.

The total is 624 for Cambridgeshire, 725 for Lincolnshire and 966 for Northamptonshire.
