Businesses across Peterborough offer support to hungry families after free school meal vote

Businesses and charities across the city have come together to offer support to children who may go hungry this half term after controversial Commons vote.

On Wednesday (October 21), MPs voted against continuing the provision of free school meals throughout this half term (Monday October 26 - Friday October 30) and up until Easter 2021.

The result caused huge debate across the country but it has also seen a whole host of organisations come together to cover the shortfall.

Across Peterboorugh, many businesses and charities have offered food to those children that were set to miss out.

Below is a list of those, along with information on how you can either donate or access support.

Any other businesses or organisations that are offering help and would like to be mentioned can email [email protected].
