LETTER: Those who failed to arrive on schedule and Peterborough Arena equally blame for problems

DEAR EDITOR: I attended the Billy Connolly show last Friday.

I had left home around 6.45pm with the intention of arriving at the arena around 7pm.

This was mainly because on a previous visit to see Bill Bailey there had been a lot of confusion regarding access to the car parks and we were diverted on that occasion to a different entrance.

The organisation was a little lacking on that occasion and it was also the case inside the venue last Friday!

We were seated well before the performance started but the constant stream of late comers was extremely off putting and it was apparent that the ushers were panicked into seating people in any empty seat, as witnessed personally, when two people were eventually seated next to me and around 10 minutes later the actual ticket holders arrived.

The seated pair stated that they had been told to sit there as their ticketed seats did not exist!

Unfortunately the evening was tarnished by the experience and though part of the blame was with those who failed to allow enough time to arrive on schedule, at least an equal share of blame must be attributed to the event organisers!!
