Chris Vaughan (pictured right) was part of the Thorney Youth Project which fundraised for a 30m zip wire, wheelchair accessible trampoline, multi-gym and big swing.

Dad of three Chris (42), who lives in the village, has been pushing for the new equipment after being inspired by a park in Market Deeping. He said: “We had such a good time. I thought there’s nothing in the village for teenagers or youths.” Chris was joined in his fundraising with Nathan Potts (pictured) and Samantha Godley. He said: “I’m ecstatic. It’s nice to be able to do it for the community.”

The Open Day is on Sunday from 11am.
