New priests for city to be ordained at cathedral service
Two new priests for the Peterborough area will be among 11 new Cambridgeshire priests and 10 deacons to be ordained in Ely Cathedral at a special service on Saturday and Sunday July 2 and 3.
Those to be ‘priested’ at 5pm on the Saturday include Staffan Dawkins, who will serve in the benefice of Stanground and Farcet, and Mark Fuller, who will serve in the benefice of Yaxley and Holme with Conington, in north Huntingdonshire.
The ordinations – of priests on the Saturday afternoon, deacons the following morning – will follow rehearsals and three days of retreat, starting on Thursday 30 June.
