The deadline has been extended for Peterborough singers to join the lead singer of Spandau Ballet, Tony Hadley, and X Factor winner Sam Bailey at a celebrity gala dinner.
Talented vocalists are being asked to audition for the chance to perform at the bash in aid of children’s charity Action Medical Research.
The event at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel will be held after the Tony Hadley Golf Classic on Friday, September 11.
Tony and 2013 X Factor winner Sam are two of the audition judges with Sam also performing on the night.
Other judges include agents John Glover and Paul Fitzgerald.
Audition places are limited and the closing date for entries has been moved to Sunday, July 12.
Each entrant is required to pay £10 (all profits go to Action Medical Research) and come to the audition ready to perform two songs with appropriate backing tracks.
Preliminary auditions will be held on Sunday, July 19 at the Peterborough Marriott Hotel, and the final audition takes place on September 10.
Five finalists will then sing at the gala dinner and the winner will receive £100 in cash plus two tickets to The X Factor live television show and two tickets for The X Factor 2015 tour with a behind-the-scenes ‘meet and greet’.
Tony Hadley has been supporting Action for a number of years and this is the 11th year the Tony Hadley Golf Classic has been running.
Such was the success of last year’s event, which raised £25,000 for the charity, tickets for 2015 at Elton Furze Golf Club sold out within four days.
