Motorist appears in court accused of causing death of Bourne man by careless driving on A15 at Baston

The case against a motorist accused of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving has been sent to crown court today.

Stephen Day, 45, of Cookson Close, Walkley, Sheffield, is charged with causing the death of 42-year-old Steven Bristow, while driving on the A15 at Baston on October 19 last year, without due care and attention. Mr Bristow lived in Church Walk, Bourne.

Mr Day appeared at Grantham Magistrates Court this morning, but did not enter a plea. The magistrates adjourned the case to Lincoln Crown Court for a hearing on July 18.
