Motorcyclist killed in crash on A47 near Glaston named as Corby man

A motorcyclist who was killed on the A47 near Glaston on Friday (July 29) has been named.

The crash happened at about 5.15pm and involved two vehicles, a grey Nissan Qashqai travelling in the direction of Stamford and an orange Honda motorbike traveling in the opposite direction.

The motorcyclist, a 40-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been named as Miroslav Bocko, of Corby.

The driver of the car sustained minor injuries.

The road was closed for several hours while initial enquiries were conducted at the scene. Detective Constable Pete Davies is keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or who saw either vehicle before the collision. He said: “The A47 was busy at the time of the incident and we want anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward with any information – you may be able to help with our investigations.”
