Thousands of people are expected to pour into Peterborough with the return of the Truckfest spectacular.
Truckfest will take place over two days at the East of England Showground in Peterborough and will feature many thrilling acts.
Organisers say that last year’s event saw a record number of truck entries with 2,000 trucks on display and they are confident this year’s event will beat that figure.
Truckfest takes place on May 3 and May 4.
Organisers say it mixes business and pleasure in one event with entertainment for the family throughout the weekend with many displays in the main arena plus a series of stunt show.
Guest performers include the Lizard Lick Krew who are flying in from North Carolina and from closer to home, world champion darts player Martin “Wolfie” Adams OF Peterborough, will be making an appearance.
Other attractions include funfair and fairground rides, Donnie and Mikey from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, live music, stunt bikes and monster trucks SLINGSHOT and SWAMPTHING competing.
There will be hundreds of stands in the shopping malls and thousands of trucks on show from classic vehicles to American rigs.
Top manufacturers will be on display as well as family entertainment on the Saturday night with the traditional and ever popular light display and fireworks.
Top band the Great Divide are playing on Saturday evening and on the Sunday evening it will be top 80s band The 80s Project, exclusively for truckers, campers and exhibitors staying the weekend.
Ticket are £17 for an adult and children’s tickets (five to 15) are £6 and family tickets are £40 (two adults and two children).
Tickets can be pre-booked by e-tickets online on www.truckfest.co.uk Then take the printed ticket to the showground or alternatively download the ticket onto a smartphone and present the ticket at the gates to gain entry.
Parking is free and available on site with disabled parking allocated to customers with a blue badge.
