Painstaking months of careful construction and fine-tuning helped power a successful mini-railway exhibition of model engineering in Peterborough.
Members of the Peterborough Society of Model Engineering staged the event at the Dogsthorpe Junior School and attracted many members of the public.
Afterwards, committee member Marion Parker said the exhibition had been a wonderful success.
She said: “There was a lot of interest in the exhibition. We had many displays which included 12 locomotives, some complete and others that were a work in progress.”
The society used to run a miniature railway at Thorpe Hall, Peterborough, for nearly 30 yeaars but is currently in search of a new and permanent home.
