A meeting is to be held to tackle the issue of feral cats at The Acres Sheltered Housing scheme in Barnack and the surrounding area.
Housing association Cross Keys Homes last week cancelled plans to trap cats in cages and re-home them as it seeks to find a solution to the problem.
There will be an information evening for local residents in The Acres community lounge on Wednesday February 18 from 7.30pm.
All local residents can attend and there will be representatives from the RSPCA, Peterborough Cat Rescue and Cross Keys Homes available to answer any questions.
Anyone who is able to offer a cat a home are asked to contact Peterborough Cat Rescue.
A spokeswoman for Cross Keys said: “The feral cats have been causing a nuisance to residents and, if no action is taken to curb their breeding, their numbers will continue to grow and their welfare will suffer.”
