The festive season really kicks off at Peterborough’s Queensgate Shopping Centre is week.
The Christmas light switch on event in Central Square on Friday, November 6, is set to be bigger and better than ever with a whole host of special guests, including Bjorn the giant polar bear.
You can join in the interactive polar bear story time sessions at intervals between 4pm and 6.30pm
The new decorations will be accompanied by a new and improved Santa’s Grotto, set within a giant tree of lights. Father Christmas himself will arrive on the night to welcome everyone to his magical new home and spread Christmas cheer.
Kids can get their faces painted and an opportunity to win tickets to meet Santa in his Grotto and win an iPad.
The grotto will open from 6.30pm until 8pm on Friday and remain open throughout the weekend; it is then open daily from Saturday November 14 until Christmas Eve.
