A man was taken to hospital after injuring his ankle on a conveyer belt in an industrial accident in Whittlesey today.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call at 8.49am today (7th December) to Kings Dyke, Whittlesey, to a report of a man who had fallen on to a conveyor belt and travelled about 30 metres before coming to a stop.
A rapid response vehicle and an ambulance crew attended to one patient who was not trapped.
They treated a man in his 50s who had chest pain and an ankle injury.
He was taken by ambulance to Peterborough City Hospital for further treatment.
His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
