Man charged with axe robbery at Spalding bookmaker
Craig Walling (33), of St Matthews Close, Holbeach, was charged with the robbery, during which £500 was stolen.
He has been further charged with possession of a Class A drug and possession of an offensive weapon, namely an axe.

UPDATE THURSDAY 12.40PM: Police in manhunt for raider who robbed bookmakers in Spalding Police have launched a manhunt for a raider who stole cash during a robbery at a bookmakers in Spalding earlier today. A white man, aged in his early to mid-20s, is suspected of a robbery at Ladbrokes in Hall Place, Spalding, shortly before 10am this morning.
He had short hair, facial stubble and a light moustache, while police also said the man was dressed in jeans with long pockets at the front, a blue/grey hoody with thick hood strings and a motif on the neck area, as well as blue trainers with white laces.
A spokesman for Ladbrokes said: “We can confirm that an incident took place this morning in our Hall Place shop in Spalding and we are assisting police with their enquiries.”

THURSDAY, 11AM, BREAKING: Robbery this morning in Spalding’s Ladbrokes
Police are investigating a robbery that took place at Ladbrokes, in Hall Place, Spalding, shortly before 10am this morning. A quantity of cash was stolen.
The suspect is described as a white man, aged 20-25, with short hair, facial stubble, and a light moustache. He was wearing jeans with long pockets at the front, a blue/grey hoody with thick hood strings and a motif on the neck area, and blue trainers with white laces.
