A spokesperson for Peterborough City Ccouncil said: “We received a report from the fire service yesterday at 4.37pm stating that a street light was on fire and officers from UK Power Networks were already on site.

“An officer from Skanksa attended and removed the bracket, took the lantern away and made the site safe. The street light will be replaced and once we’ve received a full report we should know the cause.”
