Lorry driver airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after crash in Peterborough

A lorry driver has been airlifted to hospital with ‘serious injuries’ following a collision in Peterborough earlier this morning.

Emergency services were called to the A16 near Dogsthorpe at about 9.30am today following the collision, which involved two lorries and two vans.

A number of people were injured in the incident, and Cambridgeshire police said one lorry driver had been air lifted to hospital with ‘serious’ injuries.

The road has now been re-opened.
