Women can have a go at firefighting activities as part of a myth busting event to demonstrate what it takes to be a modern firefighter.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service is running the Have A Go events on Friday, January 29, and Saturday, January 30, to encourage under-represented groups, including women, to consider firefighting as a career.
Both days will take place in Huntingdon and will be split into two sessions – 9am until noon or 1pm until 4pm.
The morning session on Friday and afternoon session on Saturday will be for women only.
At the event, people from under-represented groups can try out some of the activities that will need to be completed to become a firefighter, meet those who do the job, and look at some of the equipment used in the role.
You must book in advance before January 13 to attend the event.
Call 01480 444531 to book your place or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Recruiting for full time firefighters starts on February 6.
