The bridge at the A47/A15 junction near Brotherhood Shopping Park is being repaired, while slip roads are being installed at the busy slip roads and an extra lane installed.

The scheme has been ongoing since January 2019, with a two month break over the Christmas period.

It is now expected to finish at the end of March.

The works will cost £5.5 million of which Peterborough City Council is paying £1.65 million and the Government £3.85 million.

In a warning to motorists, the council said on Friday: “Motorists travelling south into the city across Junction 18 (Brotherhood Roundabout A47/A15) will see the carriageway reduced to one lane from 9.30am to 3.30pm from Monday morning. The works are due to finish at the end of March.”
