Hunt for driver who crashed into Whittlesey front room

Police are hunting a driver who lost control of a car and careered into a home in Whittlesey causing significant damage.

Police spotted the red Volkswagen Passat driving erratically and dangerously near the level crossing in Ramsey Road, Whittlesey on Sunday, July 24 just befoore 2pm.

Officers turned their patrol car around to follow the vehicle but soon found it had crashed further along the road in The Limes, hitting the front of a house.

The car was empty when officers arrived and police are still searching for the driver.

Nobody was at home at the time of the collision and no-one injured.
