Horse riders enjoy Canter for a Cure at Burghley House in aid of Medical Detection Dogs
About 120 riders and their horses enjoyed a sunny six-mile ride in Burghley Estate on Sunday in a bid to raise funds for the charity Medical Detection Dogs.
It is the first time the Canter for a Cure event has taken place in Stamford and the through both public and private areas of the estate, with the fantastic backdrop of the stately home. The course included riding through scenic wooded tracks and open countryside and on occasion, riding parallel to the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials course.
Volunteer fundraiser Denise Taylor said: “It really was a fantastic event, the weather was glorious and everyone had a super day.”
