Major Andy Tannock, chairman of the group, said: “The building is still the headquarters of the Sea and Royal Marine Cadets, during the past few months the building has undergone extensive refurbishment of the exterior and redecoration of the interior.

“During the redecoration a photograph of the original ship’s company was moved and a list of all the young men’s names from the original ship’s company was found enclosed in it

“Are you one of the original ship’s company, does any of their families remember their father, grandfather talking about the unit?

“Also we were handed a group of 12 photographs of different young men, some of them could be your relatives.

“We would love to hear from you, and if possible that you could visit the unit to see how it has changed.
