The team from the orthopaedic fracture clinic, rheumatology and plaster room at Peterborough City Hospital have been shortlisted for the Student Placement of the Year award by the Nursing Times.
Carl Markillie, Departmental Manager, said: “We are honoured to be shortlisted for the Nursing Times Award. I am so proud that the team is being recognised for the effort they put into training and education as well as maintaining high quality patient care.
“The mentors in the team are constantly developing new learning opportunities in a supportive atmosphere, tailoring their approach to each individual student. They demonstrate extremely high standards of care which the students learn from and take with them into their future careers.”
Jacqui Creed, Education Champion at Anglia Ruskin University, said: “I have the greatest respect for staff working in this placement as they continue to demonstrate a commitment to providing an excellent learning environment for our students.
