A new supported living complex in Orton Malborne will allow people with learning disabilities to live independently.
The complex, comprising 10 new, converted flats managed by Westmoreland Housing Association, is being run by Augusta Care on behalf of Peterborough City Council.
It will provide brand new, purpose-built homes to nine individuals whose current living situations do not meet their care needs. One-to-one support will be provided during the day, with a carer living on-site to provide care overnight.
Councillor Wayne Fitzgerald, deputy leader and cabinet member for integrated adult social care and health, said residents will become “more integrated in society and will build up the skills needed to give them more confidence and independence.”
