The chance to find out about the wide range of health and wellbeing services that operate in the Peterborough area is on offer at a special event.
A health and wellbeing marketplace event is being held at Aspire in Bridge Street, Peterborough, today (Wednesday September 19) between 10.30am and 2.30pm.
Organised by Peterborough City Council’s public health team in conjunction with Aspire, the event will showcase a wide range of services that operate in the Peterborough area including:
. Mental health services
. Diet and physical activity
. Drug and alcohol services
. Stop smoking services
. Adult learning and skills
. Maternity services
. Pharmacy services
. Citizens Advice
Dr Liz Robin, director of public health at Peterborough City Council, said: “This is a unique opportunity to find out about local services which support people’s health and wellbeing, and specifically what they offer.
“People may not be aware of all the help that is out there, so anyone who is unsure is welcome to come along, have a browse and a chat to representatives from services who will be happy to offer advice and support.”
The event will also feature the launch of the ‘Peterborough Healthy Lifestyles’ booklet which is a guide for health service staff to help refer people to appropriate help.
The event is free to attend and refreshments will be provided.
