The Health and Care Sector Academy, funded by the Department of Work and Pensions, aims to tackle the shortage of skilled workers in the health and care sector. The project was implemented on behalf of the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority and other stakeholders.

City college principal Pat Carrington said: “We are delighted with the results we are seeing and the opportunities this programme has created.” Pictured at the presentation at Lapwing Apartments, Orton Brimbles, are: Mayor James Palmer, Antoinette Turner, David Orrell, Rasa Misiunate, Tayebah Hussaini, Cllr John Holdich and Claire Higgins.
