Children at Peterborough City Hospital have received toys from a leading retailer.
Youngsters have been presented with a range of toys by online retailer Amazon in the run up to Christmas.
The donation, is part of a pledge from Amazon to provide £5,000 worth of gifts to the hospital, and includes a selection of Christmas books, Christmas DVDs for all ages and a number of portable DVD players.
Team members from Amazon’s Peterborough fulfilment centre at Fletton made a delivery to staff and children in November and have just returned with more gifts.
The donation is part of Amazon’s ongoing work within the community.
It follows recent donations of Kindle devices to local primary schools, Heritage Park Primary School and Oakdale Primary School.
Lucy Robertson, site leader at the Peterborough, said: “We are delighted to have made this contribution to Peterborough City Hospital in the run up to Christmas.
“Making a difference in the local community is important to the Amazon Peterborough team, who all play an important role in selecting the causes that we support throughout the year.
“It was a great to visit the hospital and see the important work that is done there.
“We look forward to contributing to many other fantastic organisations within Peterborough in 2015.”
