A great weekend away for young choristers

Members of the award-winning Peterborough Youth Choir recently visited Buckden Towers for their sixth annual residential weekend.

They thoroughly enjoyed two days of fun, football and food as well as an enormous amount of singing, working on a mixed repertoire including everything from Mozart to Disney which they performed in an informal concert for parents on Sunday evening.

William Prideaux, director of Peterborough Youth Choir and associated music education charity Peterborough Sings! is developing boys’ choirs at schools across the city as part of the charity’s outreach programme, with a specific focus on addressing the challenges faced by boys with changing voices.
