Going wild about glorious meadows

Have your say

Thanks to the support of the Wildlife Trust and the efforts of a number of wildlife-minded community groups, glorious wildflower areas are dotted around the city, helping to protect and preserve some of our less common wildflowers and the insects which feed on them.

In Orton Longueville the Botolph Green Residents’ association has sown a meadow adjacent to the village pond. St Botolph’s Church congregation has established a small meadow in the grounds to attract wildlife.

Rachel Price of the Wildlife Trust said: “These projects demonstrate how easy it is to make our local area so much richer. I hope that others will draw inspiration from these projects.

“If anyone would like
help and support in getting started I am always happy to help.”
