A charity that supports families that have children with additional needs, disabilities and life limiting conditions received a special delivery of gardening equipment from Amazon.
Members of the team from Amazon’s fulfilment centre on Flaxley Road, at Fletton, visited the Little Miracles’Hartwell Way facility to deliver hundreds of pounds worth of gardening equipment as part of the company’s community support programme.
The equipment, which includes a lawnmower, garden table, a gazebo, spades, watering cans, a potting table, hand tools, gloves and more will be used by the charity as part of its outdoor play and learning activities during the summer.
Speaking after making the surprise delivery, Amazon Peterborough’s Site Leader Lee Shepherd said: “We’ve got a few really keen gardeners at Amazon in Peterborough and they suggested that we donate some equipment to a local charity to encourage kids to try gardening this summer.
“Little Miracles is a brilliant organisation that does really important work for families in our community and it’s great to be able to support them with this donation.”
Jack Cook from Little Miracles. added: “We’re always looking for new ways to improve the support we offer to local families and this donation of gardening equipment from Amazon will be a great addition to our outdoor activities. Everyone at Little Miracles would like to say a huge thank you to Lee and the team from Amazon in Peterborough for this donation.”
