Football helps youngsters learn about other countries

Pre-school children from Busy Bees nursery in Hampton Hargate put their football skills to the test by hosting their very own Euro 2016 penalty shootout.

The little stars from Busy Bees got involved by sporting their favourite football
kits, making their very-own national team flags and having their faces painted.

This was not only a chance for the football fanatics to shine, but for the children to learn all about the different nations taking part in Euro 2016.

A local PE teacher and football coach also came in and spoke to the children about the importance of teamwork before heading out to the local green on Hargate Way to hold their own friendly football tournament.

Eloise Godfrey, Busy Bees nursery manager, said: “It
was great that we could hold an event for children of all
ages to take part and be involved.

The pre-school children hosted the penalty shootout tournament, accompanied by
the staff team, while the toddlers and babies took part
in the face painting and dress up.”
