A stable building and barn were was destroyed in a fire that needed five crews to put out.
The fire happened in Swallow Hill, Thurlby, at about 7.45pm yesterday (Tuesday, February 2). Two buildings were burning.
Fire crews from Bourne, Market Deeping, Spalding, Stamford and Crowland were called. Severe damage was caused to a wooden stable building, a barn and a Land Rover and horse box stored within.
A post on the Market Deeping and Deeping St James police Facebook page last night said: “Fire crews are currently on scene dealing with the remains of the fire, which we are currently treating as suspicious. We believe it started between 6pm and 8pm this evening.
“If you saw any suspicious people or vehicles in the area between those times, please contact us on 101 quoting incident 357 of February 2.”
