Five arrested released on bail after man suffers serious stab wounds in Peterborough

Five people arrested after a man suffered serious stab wounds in Peterborough have been released on police bail.

Police were called to an address in Gilpin Street at about 11.42am on Sunday, June 26, where a man in his 30s had suffered a stab wound.

He was taken to Peterborough City Hospital in a serious condition.

A 30-year-old man from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

A 33-year-old woman from Peterborough was arrested on suspicion of GBH.

Two women aged 54 and 41 from Peterborough and a 49-year-old man from Peterborough were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

All have been released on bail until July.

Police are treating the stabbing as an isolated incident.
