Thousands of people helped Peterborough’s Firework Fiesta go with a bang with a spectacular display.
The Peterborough Arena was packed with people on Saturday night for the annual charity spectacular.
The highlight of the evening saw the crowd look to the sky for a stunning firework display, but there was plenty of entertainment put on throughout the evening.
Mayor of Peterborough cllr John Peach had the ceremonial honour of lighting the huge bonfire in the grounds, and there was live music on stage to keep families entertained.
Children were also able to go on funfair rides and games.
The Firework Fiesta was first held in 1976, and has raised more than £500,000 for local good causes. The Round Table and Rotary clubs of Peterborough, who organise the event, will split the money raised in this year’s Fiesta between the chosen charities.
