Film of King's Lynn speedway star's return to track set for premiere

A film telling the story of King's Lynn Stars captain Rory Schlein's comeback from a career-threatening crash will be premiered in Lynn tonight.

Some tickets are still available for the screening of Addicted To Speed: The Rory Schlein Story, which takes place at the Majestic Cinema at 8pm.

The film follows the Australian’s battle to regain fitness after breaking his back in a crash in Poland last May, culminating with his return to the track at the Norfolk Arena last month.

Director Max Hind said: “It was a privilege to document Rory’s comeback. He is such an inspirational character and the physical and mental battles he had to overcome to get back to doing what he loves were immense.

“Seeing it all behind the scenes and working with him over the last nine months we have not only made a new friend but have found a new hero.

“The film will give fans a chance to see what he went through and how much it means to him to be back racing with the King’s Lynn Stars.”

The film has been made by the Toofast Media Group, a film-making company which specialises in motorcycling.
