Fantastic support for Evergreen Care Trust's Queen for the Day competition
The Evergreen Care Trust in partnership with local independent businesses, ran a competition in the Mercury for a Queen for the Day.
The lucky lady was Morag Roberts, a nurse at Stamford Hospital who also ran the London Marathon this year at the age of 72.

The procession will leave the hospital at 1.20pm and make its way through the town before heading to the tea dance at Borderville. Evergreen staff have been planning the event for some time and it promises to be a great day for the more than 100 guests.
Her prizes include: Chauffeur driven Rolls Royce provided by Hugh Illingsworth from Classic Rolls and Bentley Hire to the event; Outfit by Trish Ferrier of Trecher’s, Stamford Walk; Hair by Lewin Auciello of the Cutting Company in Ironmonger Street; Nails by Maria Harvey, Bliss Beauty, upstairs at the Cutting Company; Afternoon Tea at the Crown Hotel in All Saints’ Place and Photography by Emily Player, Rosily Photography
Trish from Trecher’s said: “The donation was our contribution to such a great event, however we got so much back from seeing a worthy lady receive such a great treat, at the same time contributing positively to such a good cause, along with other local businesses.”
