Emergency services at scene of house fire in Peterborough

Emergency services were called to Spencer Avenue, Stanground at about 1.30pm today.

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service confirmed the blaze was affecting a house and said: "We currently have crews from Dogsthorpe, Stanground and Yaxley, along with the north roaming fire engine at the scene of a fire on Spencer Avenue."

A spokesman for Cambridgeshire police said: "We were called at 1.35pm today to reports of a house fire on Spencer Avenue, Stanground, Peterborough.

"Officers are currently on scene together with paramedics and firefighters."

There is currently no information on if any injuries had been suffered
