Pupils at Sir Harry Smith Community College celebrated top GCSE results last term.

The teenagers at the Whittlesey school scored to grades, with 62 per cent of the youngsters gaining an A*-C grade including English and maths.

Principal Jonathan Digby said: “I would like to congratulate this cohort of students who have produced an excellent set of GCSE results this summer. Students and teachers have worked really hard to achieve 62 per cent 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths, which is an increase from last year.

“Students gained outstanding results in both English and Maths, with 77 per cent achieving grades A*- C in English, and 76 per cent receiving grades A*- C in Maths.”

Mr Digby paid special tribute to a number of pupils who got outstanding results.
