Prizewinners celebrated at cathedral ceremony

The King's (The Cathedral) School celebrated the success of its 2018 prizewinners at Peterborough Cathedral. Headteacher Darren Ayling said: 'This was a very proud day for parents, pupils and staff. These young people are some of the highest achieving in the country. And not only on the obvious measure of grades achieved, either. Many of our prizewinners have been recognised for the progress they have made since starting at King's, or for their contribution to the extra-curricular life of the school.'

The guest speaker on the day was former Head Girl and ex-chorister Sarah Byrd. Mr Ayling added: “Sarah’s inspiring address to the school reinforced that very important message that opportunities are there to be taken, and that the experience of a King’s education will not only prepare our young people to seize those opportunities, but also to serve.”
