Nene Park Academy has appointed Peterborough City Council Corporate Director Simon Machen as its new Chair of Governors.
The position is the first governing role for Mr Machen, who is the council’s Corporate Director of Growth and Regeneration, and he will oversee progress and ensure excellence on all levels at Nene Park Academy.

Mr Machen said: “Through my work with the Council, businesses constantly stress to me how important it is that the education system provides future employees with the right skills and qualifications. This is key to the future prosperity of Peterborough.
