Students at Sawtry Village Academy are celebrating academic success as the number of students achieving A*-C rises by eight per cent, to 74 per cent.
The percentage of students who also achieved the top A*-B results has risen to 45 per cent, up six per cent from last year.
The overall pass rate of students remains above the national average at 99 per cent.
These fantastic results top an already exciting year for the sixth form, after it achieved a ‘Good’ rating by Ofsted for the fourth consecutive time earlier this year.
Students who did exceptionally well this year include Joshua Nightingale who achieved A*A*A*A, Adam Mulley who achieved AAAA, Liam Littlefair achieved AA and two Distinction* and Georgia Gadsby who achieved AAA.
Sarah Wilson, Principal at Sawtry Village Academy, spoke about the achievement: “We are exceptionally proud of these results, and I’d like to congratulate all staff and students for their hard work and dedication.
“I’m pleased to see that the desire to achieve has been rewarded with these results.
“We are confident that they will enable our students to progress to university or employment as planned and we wish them all every success.”
