Duo take on challenge
Peterborough residents Steve Milford and Matt Lauch are taking on the DofE Diamond Challenge '“ a one-off initiative organised by The Duke of Edinburgh's Award (DofE) in celebration of its Diamond Anniversary.
Steve and Matt, pictured at Crib Goch, Wales, will undertake a six day expedition in the Scottish Highlands in June where they will be wild camping and will carry everything they need to be self-sufficient. The pair run the Peterborough Open Awards Centre and have been involved with the DofE for many years. They have seen first-hand the impact the scheme has on young people.
Steve said: “Our expedition in the Scottish Highlands is extremely ambitious, but we’re looking forward to being entirely self-sufficient and getting out of our comfort zones.”
