Driver taken to hospital after car crashes into busy Peterborough roundabout

A driver was taken to hospital after their car was involved in two collisions, before crashing into a busy Peterborough roundabout.

Police were called at 5.54pm yesterday (13 October) with reports of a collision between two cars and a van in Peterborough.

A Cambridgeshire police spokesman said: “Officers attended the scene where a white BMW was reportedly involved in a collision with another vehicle at the Longthorpe roundabout before continuing onto the Nene Parkway.

“The car has then been involved in another collision, this time with a van at the junction with the A47.

“There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the incident but the driver of the BMW was taken to hospital.

“An investigation into what happened is ongoing.”
